I have some questions huskereuroca's file but I am still am having trouble setting up an initial season. I am only putting 2 tourney's in as a test and not to get so far in my editing.
Here is what I have done:
1. Name the Tourney 2. Entrance Fee = $10,000 3. Purse= $5,000,000 4. I fill in the opponents section with "PGA Tour" 5. I leave the "#" as Def 6. No Cuts 7. Eligibility = All 8. Type = Standard Tournaments 9. Month = 1 10. Added 2 rounds
When I save and create my file, I go in TW08 and create a new profile player. It asks me if I want to use the User Created Tour - I click yes.
When I go into the Tour, I am in December of 2008 and I get the following message:
"If you advance to the next year the rest of your events in this year will be simulated. Are you sure you want to simulate the rest of your events for 2008"
If I click no, I can't go anywhere, if I click yes I advance to 2009 and have the same message pop up.
Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong. Thanks. |

I may be reading this wrong but it would seem that two things are being confused here. My season is a separate item than the helper issue that you are having. With my season you have to make sure that all the courses in the readme file are downloaded and installed in your game with TW Caddie 08, then you simply replace the pgauser file in "C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Career\GCFS\PGAUser.gcf" with the file in my zip (don't forget to save your copy of the pgauser file to somewhere you can access if this isn't successful). Then go into the game, create a new professional golfer and choose 'YES' to use the user created tournament file. You should be good to go with the first tourney on my created season. You do not need the career editor helper for this season.
Now for the latter issue. You may need to create a more extensive season than just two tourneys. That doesn't seem like a real test, even for the program. Could be just me though. Make one tourney in each month and put 4 rounds in each. None of them need to be a major but all should be a standard tournament. The rest of your parameters sound good to me. You should start out in January doing that. I can't figure out what else might be wrong since the helper worked fine for me doing the above.
Let us know how it turns out! |

When I have installed new course to my TW game and go to the Career Editor to update my database, they they do not show up in the blue section when I try to change courses. I am following the instructions provided.
Any suggestions. Thanks. |

1. Rename your original season setup file - PGAEdit.gcf - to e.g. season1.gcf, it's located in MyDocuments\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Career\GCFS\
2. Start the Helper, open the career editor to create a new season file, add the new courses to tournaments and save/close.
3. In the helper click Scan PGAEdit and the new courses should appear in the blue listview.
4. Delete the "teachin" PGAEdit.gcf file, rename the season1.gcf to PGAEdit.gcf to restore your original season setup. |

shorty2127, please attach the CourseDB.mdb database file located in the CEHelper directory. You have to pack it - .zip format - to upload it here. |

Matty - If I remember this correctly, you only need the CEHelper if you want to make changes to courses I used. It doesn't hurt to download and install the CEHelper. There are more directions aon the Golf4Fun Tour website at http://golf-4fun.org/forum/general-discussion/220-career-editor-helper-tw08. You may need to sign up for an account but it is a free site.
As for using my season, you can take my PGAUser.gcf and replace the current one (save your current one somewhere in case you wish to use it again). Then start TW08, create a pro golfer and the game will ask you if you want to use the calendar that was shipped or the user created tournaments file, say YES. When you start the PGA career you should be using my created tourney calendar.
Let me know if it works! |

There's a problem with a course that I don't own - CGX TPC Four Seasons 2012 A - and Baltusrol- Lower Course. It would help if you could upload the PGAEdit.gcf, the season that contains the CGX course. |

You have to upload it as .zip or .rar file. |

Shorty, you can export the course keys with this batch file, then upload the created courses.reg file. Or if you familiar with the registry export the course keys with regedit. I do need the course guid of the CGX course for further testing. |

With the batch file you can export the TW course keys + values (Registry) to a file. The created file, named courses.reg, contains the infos I'd need. Just run it and upload the created courses.reg as .zip or .rar archive. |

Hi Shorty,
thanks to your help I know now what the problem is, but to date I didn''t have the time to work on a fix for the CE-Helper.
We are (The Golf-4fun guys) currently sorting out new ideas for the tour, which has higher priority. Besides that I''m working 10h/day at the moment, so every minute without looking at a display is a good thing :-)
Stay tuned, I will come up with a solution for the problem soon. Anyway, thanks for your feedback and help. |
