What a difference playing thie course with TW08, ten months later !
If I have noticed, sometimes, that some courses look better with TW07 (usually when there is no water or just the ocean, which looks quite nice, at times), this is not the case with this CGX Muirfield Village Golf Club.
As I mentioned below, this is a beautiful and challenging course with plenty of creeks and/or small lakes/ponds all along, "forcing" you to think twice before hitting your shots.
And after playing it again, I need to add the par-3 16th hole to my list of favorites, as the small green is quite tough to reach with a big pond in front, just like the par-3 12th...
And with nice scoreboards displaying your score along with a welcome message on every hole, and "my GoodYear" blimp flying above (which I added), it makes this course even more spectacular !
Thank you again to the CGX team for this great version, one of my favorites...

Don't play this course with TW07 as water shows up grainy and yellowish !
Unfortunately, I did not have any choice and I really feel bad because this course is a beauty from the 1st tee to the 18th green !
With its very nice plantings, making the course more wide open than previous versions, great elevation work and its meandering creeks on many holes, this par 72 is very scenic and quite tough, at times.
On the front 9, I like the downhill par-4 2nd hole, with its creek running across and along the fairway, the dogleg to the left par-4 3rd hole, with its meandering creek and a small pond in front of the elevated green. But my favorite hole is the gorgeous and difficult par-5 5th, with its meandering creek running all the way to the tiny green, guarded by bunkers, making your approach shot very tough. The downhill par-4 9th hole is also nice as you reach the green.
On the back 9, the par-5 11th hole is quite similar to the 5th hole, and gorgeous too, whereas the par-3 12th hole has a tiny green, surrounded by bunkers and a small lake in front. I like also the two scenic downhill par-4s, the 14th hole, with its creek on the right side and grandstands on the left side, and the 17th, with its tiny elevated green above the creek. As for the downhill dogleg to the right par-4 18th hole, it has a beautiful view as you reach the green, with all the grandstands, bunkers and clubhouse.
With gorgeous flowers and flower beds, trees and textures, this course is one of the best from the CGX Design team, combining beauty with risk/reward shots on many holes, and one that you should hurry to download !

Loved it from the out - this is an awesome design, possibly one of CGX's best (and that's saying something). A really top class course and a very challenging one - the emphasis being very much on approach shots throughout. To have any chance of scoring well you must nail them...and nail your thinking first! Great variety, too many good holes to pick a fave, the whole course is a joy to play. A real gem of a design, cheers!

Played along with the pro`s at Muirfield Village - the more I play this course the more I like it. It is a challenge - need to keep it in a proper position on fairway or second shot could be troublesome. This is one great course - planting is very well done. Shot 72,61,79 and 66. That 77 was wayward tee on 12th that put me in a spot took 6 shots to get out and gave me a nice 11 for that hole. I have great respect for that hole now. Awesome course! Thanks for designing and sharing.

Great design - tree lined fairways -good undulations on greens - makes for a good challenge - excellent. Plays fantastic and looks good.
