I have played about 20 fantasy courses, so far, from Danut Golf, and this one definitely ranks as one of his best ! With a nice forest as a panorama, and more trees along the fairways, this par 72 is really challenging with quite a few doglegs and a lot of elevation changes, making it tough to choose the right club to approach the greens, often guarded by a few bunkers and/or small water hazards.
The first thing you will notice, however, as you stand on the tee of the right dogleg par-4 1st hole, is the placard, not far from the tee, with the hole number, overhead display and the 4 different distances available for each hole ; as for the hole itself, it is quite nice with an elevated green, partially hidden by trees.
The par-4 2nd hole is beautiful, with a narrow and twisting fairway, next to an elongated lake on the right, and a round peninsula green, and is followed by the straight par-4 3rd, quite scenic too with a n-shaped lake going around the island green and its nice small wooden bridge.
The par-3 4th hole is downhill all the way, with medium rough between the tee and the tiny green with nice wooded hills above, unlike the dogleg par-4 5th, where you will need to hit a blind and uphill tee shot and... pray to avoid landing in the big bunker across the rollercoaster fairway halfway through, before aiming for the elevated green.
The right dogleg par-5 6th hole may not look too difficult but, after a downhill tee shot (with trees in the right corner), you won’t be able to reach the elevated green unless you want to feed the ducks swimming in the little pond in front of it !
Then, after enjoying the bird sounds on the scenic downhill par-3 7th hole, with nice bushes below the tee and an island green, and the right dogleg par-5 8th, slightly downhill all the way to the green, you will face another right dogleg, the par-4 9th hole, easier but with a beautiful and wide clubhouse on a small hilltop behind the green, with plenty of bushes below.
If you are in a gambling mood, then the straight and short (about 320 yards) par-4 10th hole is for you, with a downhill tee shot and a small elongated green, in the middle of a little creek !
After a little relief on the straight par-3 11th hole, with a green set on a small mound, the next three holes are quite challenging : the left dogleg par-4 12th has plenty of wide trees on a small hill in the left corner and a blind approach shot to the green (with a steep slope before), the left dogleg par-5 13th hole is quite long (more than 600 yards), with plenty of trees on both sides of the wide fairway and a delicate third shot to the green, surrounded by a u-shaped big pond, and the left dogleg par-4 14th is uphill all the way, with a narrow tree-lined fairway and a “longer-than-it-looks” approach shot to the green.
If the par-4 15th hole is not too difficult, with a downhill tee shot and a small creek running along the left side of the tree-lined fairway, choosing the right club to reach the elevated green may be a little tricky, however, which will definitely not be the case on the gorgeous (and very scary) par-3 16th, where you will hit a blind and very steep downhill tee shot to reach the island green (but watch out for the distance) !
Then, after the left dogleg par-4 17th hole, with a downhill tee shot landing on a narrow tree-lined (and undulating) fairway and its slightly-uphill green, you will finish with the tough and long right dogleg par-5 18th, with a downhill tee shot and an elevated green, unreachable on your second shot, and with a small lake around on the right side !
With its nice landscape, plantings, variety of shots and multiple decision-makings, Ringo Hills is a testing course and one to keep and play again and again if you want to be one day a Ringo... star, thanks to Danut Golf !

Kevin, and all others who may be under the assumption that the yardages are off - that is no longer possible with the game. There were times, back in 03, 04 and I think, 05, when it was definitely an issue, just like it could be an issue with backwards sliders and such, but with the 06 Course Architect those problems were eliminated. I'm sorry if you had trouble yardage wise, but maybe some of the more severe elevation changes had something to do with it. I don't mean to step on any toes with the statement, but it is what it is. Thanks for leaving the comment, though. All comments are welcome.

this course is nice, the only problem i found was with the yardage on the holes i think they are off which made it real tough, maybe it was just me but i think it was more a yardage issue with the course

Lovely course but a toughie! after the first few holes I could not see where the birdies were going to come from...I made afew and lost a few! stuffed up on the 15th! tried to slam it over the Treees on the right, did not make it and ended up at the bottom of the jungle! Did not recover after that, 18th is also tough! ended up on evens! nice course, a keeper, need plebty of practice for this one.
