Interesting course, with a forest and a few rolling hills as a panorama and more trees along the fairways, and tougher than it looks with a few water hazards and some risky holes, not to mention a lot of small undulating greens.
This par 70 may not have many breathtaking views, but if offers some challenging approach shots which can spell trouble very quickly if you hit errant shots or misjudge distances.
The par-4 1st hole has a straight and downhill view of the green and a small stream running along on the left side on the fairway (ending not far from the green), and is followed by the left dogleg par-4 2nd, slightly uphill all the way to the green, with a steep drop-off on the right side and a bunker below.
The left dogleg par-5 3rd hole is nice and quite long (more than 620 yards), with a creek crossing from the fairway from the left and ending in front of the elevated green, and so is the other left dogleg par-4 6th, with a big lake on the right and trees on the left, making the fairway quite narrow, and the hidden and slightly-elevated green, tough to reach on your long approach shot.
The last two holes on the front 9 are worth mentioning too : the par-3 8th hole is slightly downhill with a small green, a pond on the left and a bunker on the right, whereas the par-4 9th has trees in the middle of the fairway, partially hiding it on the left, with a small lake further to the left, not far from the slightly-to-the-right elevated green, with the clubhouse further behind to the right.
On the back 9, I like the right dogleg par-4 13th hole, with an uphill tee shot landing on a narrow tree-lined fairway (especially on the right side), and an uphill approach shot to the green (over a small lake), and the short (about 340 yards) par-4 14th, with the green reachable from the tee as the fairway slopes gently near the end.
Then, after the left dogleg par-4 15th hole, with an uphill tee shot, plenty of trees in the corner and a small pond on the right, and the par-5 16th, with an approach shot over the meandering river running across and near the elevated green (on the left), you will reach the most scenic hole on this course, the par-3 17th, with a downhill tee shot (hopefully) landing onto the peninsula green.
With minimal plantings, this course is not visually spectacular but, with its undulating greens, you better putt well if you want to finish with a decent score...

Thanks, everyone. Back in 2003 I met a player/designer named Rich Hiley, aka Chingu Golf. He taught me so very much about course design. Back then my courses were pretty darn lousy, but with his help they eventually got better. The one thing he helped me learn is that a good fictional course is one where those playing it could see it as a real course somewhere in the world. If I can accomplish that with any fictional design, I feel I have succeeded. Thanks again, to Rich and everyone else.

Finally had a chance to play this one. This is a perfect example of a "fantasy" course that could be a "real" course.
Beautiful design, I think everything was done superbly. From tee to green, loved the water features, the undulating but fair greens, and the undulating fairways, planting was sweet!!
And you know I loved the textures.
I liked this course the best of all!!
Thanks for the hard work, gr88888 job!!!

Just played this puppy while warming up for my intermediate tour I play in. Breezy, diff pins, pro tees, and very dry greens served up good rd where I had to think about shot placement for sure. Expert play would have had me shaking in my boots on these greens, but would I still would have fun trying to conquer them....hehehe
Finished with +3, but my focus wasn't what it might be if I was in tournament play.

Love the dark green color of the ruff, and the layout you thought up made for some good thinking shot placement off the tee & approach shots so I didn't end up with nasty downhill putts. Plus my ball could get into bad postion off the tee if not careful because of the rolling fairways too. Boy, hole #2 had My wife & I freaking out with drama watching to see if my ball continued off that HUGE drop off from the green, but we had big relief when it stayed on. Loved hole # 17 too, and I would think this would be the signature hole of this course without question. Course had rolling fairways & some rolling greens where 3 putts could come creeping out if not careful. Not sure if I've ever played one of your courses before, but this one was cool, and had a real like feel to me. Another great find that just has me loving all these cool courses yet to play here.
Nice work with this course..... :)

Thanks for your time while making this course

Nice course with great textures. If you are looking for a challenge you have found it. With dry greens and breezy winds I scrambled my way round rather than played. I found par a good score!

This course has A real fun and testing layout. You have to land shots on target and with dry greens and long grass off the fairways and some wind this would make A good U.S. open course.
