This unusual par 74 looks pretty with its green countryside, colorful trees, flowers, bushes and its lakes coming into play on a couple of holes, but the main challenge on this course is trying to avoid all the bunkers, present in the middle on a lot of fairways !
The left dogleg par-4 1st hole is a good example, with a downhill tee shot landing near a few bunkers in the middle of the fairway and an blind approach shot over some trees to reach the green, surrounded by nice vegetation.
After the straight par-3 2nd hole, quite long (about 250 yards), one nice hole is the right dogleg par-4 3rd, with a tee shot over a small mound, deep rough across the fairway midway through (with trees in front) and a green, surrounded by nice bushes and flowers with the clubhouse behind.
Both the par-5 4th and par-4 5th holes are straight, with big and risky tee shots over a lake flowing across the fairway, a few bunkers again in the middle, with the 5th hole being a little bit tougher with a blind and slightly-uphill tee shot and a bunker very close behind the lake... and hard to avoid.
The par-3 6th hole, just like the 2nd, is long (about 245 yards) and straight but you will need to hit a blind tee shot over a small mound halfway to reach the green before facing two short par-5 holes.
The left dogleg 7th is about 460 yards, with a slightly-uphill tee shot and a couple of more bunkers in the middle and is not too difficult, unlike the even shorter right dogleg 8th hole (about 390 yards !) which can be quite tricky if you land in one of the two bunkers in the right corner of the slanted fairway.
As for the last par-3 9th hole (about 245 yards), it is straight with a few trees lined up in the middle, hiding the green, not too far behind.
On the back 9, I like the long (about 610 yards) right dogleg par-5 10th hole, with a fairway (and bunkers in the middle) turning to the left, then to the right with big trees in the corner, making it impossible to reach the green (ant its nice flowers around) on your second shot, and the pretty right dogleg par-4 11th, with a wide bunker in the right corner, an elongated one in the middle a little bit further, and one more across in front of the green (with two more on the sides) !
Then, just like on the front 9, the par-3 12th hole is quite long (about 255 yards), with a little mound to fly over and a small bunker in front of the green with nice bushes behind it.
After the straight par-5 13th hole, with three different-sized bunkers spread apart in the middle of the fairway, you will need to hit a blind tee shot over a small mound on the right dogleg par-4 14th, with three more bunkers, side by side in the corner, and more surrounding the green.
The scenery then changes drastically on the pretty dogleg par-5 15th hole, with a fairway turning to the left with a small lake on the right all along and a green at the end of the lake on the other bank to the right, making your second/approach shot quite risky !
Finally, after the par-4 16th hole, slightly to the left, with trees forming a nice arch in front of the tee area, you will head for the long (about 250 yards) par-3 17th hole, quite pretty with its island green before tackling the right dogleg par-5 18th where, after a straight tee shot (hopefully) landing away from a lone bunker in the middle of the wide tree-lined fairway, you won’t be able to reach the green on your second shot because of high trees in the corner, hiding the slightly-downhill green a little bit further.
Even though you won't see the beautiful garden, seen on the above picture, Hampton Court is quite pretty and plays very smoothly, but you better stay away from all those bunkers if you want to finish below par and avoid being... beheaded !

This is a superb course. The extra bunkers included obviously attempted to make the course a real challenge. And once again jbx has succeeded in producing exactly what so many golfers want.

Do not take me the wrong way,the coarse is a great design (texture & trees etc) but look at all the true championship coarses, they do not have bunkers in the middle of fairways. You do not have to take a short iron of the tee then a metal club to reach the green (par 4). A par five should be reachable in two (with a bit of risk). A par three should be a mid iron, no more than a three iron. You can put as many bunkers or water around the green to make it tricky. Golf is meant to be fun and a coarse over 8,000 yards from the back is a challenge without the misplaced bunkers as noted before.
I have downloaded Richmond Lakes also by the same designer (as stated before I like the style) and I am only trying to make constructive comment.

Nice coarse, but do we need such long par 3's and fives. Also there are a lot of bunkers in the shot zone in the middle of fairways meaning you have to lay up a lot.
