Well-designed golf course next to the lake. Doglegs, elevated greens at times and narrow fairways will test your skills.
Enjoyed the back 9 (with the 13th, 14th and 18th holes) better than the front 9 but, overall, this is course to keep... and I did not even mention the nice yellow flowers all around !
Very nice work, Homeboy !

stunning course ive been very lucky to spend time in the highlands of Scotland , and in this very area on holiday the last two years, this looks very lifelike except in the flesh nothing can do it justice , but this course has to be right up there with the very best , my sincere compliments thank you for sharing this great course

Hasn't been a comment for well over a year - am I the only newbie to the site who's making comments?

Just letting you know another 5* rating has been added, Roger - an absolute stunner...

Saw this course in action for last week's pre-Open tournament. Really good rendition & pano - especially on the "signature hole" 14th.

I am a little torn on this one. Overall appearence it is one of the finest courses I have seen. Stunning job with the layout and well finished.

However. The greens are rather extreme. More like a carnival ride than a golf course. A slow green texture seemed to have been used to bandaid what would have been an otherwise unplayable situation on VD

Now I know what's involved with making these courses I have to comment about this course again.
One word comes to mind......

AMAZING & UNBIEVEABLE !!!!!!!!!!!

Well, two words, but this course deserves that much. I just went around today & look at your work, and it is nothing, but top notch in this art of designing courses. I don't think I found one error when around on this course today, and that just tell me that you you have nothing, but love for you courses. Don't know what else to say, but if you are upcoming designer .
Look around this course for some serious inspiration.

This is one of the best courses I've played. I can not imagine the time and talent it takes to put together a masterpiece like this. My only detraction is that the flags are the wrong color...should be dark blue - lol.

Another great design that we have all become accustom to from a Homeboy design. Your dedication to quality really shows through here, the blending of the rough textures along with the plantings within the rough create an outstanding feel and look to this course. The tree planting along the fairways create a number of shot selections for the golfer and the greens are typical Homeboy in design. Thanks Roger for another inspirational design....Kevin

I love this course, and all I got say is shot placement is a must on this course. So TREES don't get in you way, but I love that kind of stuff on a course. Love the fact I had to move all around on the overhead map to see where a good spot was for the next shot. Made me think hard if grabbing a smaller club off the tee was the smart move to avoid trouble opr hitting to far while making the darn trees get in the way. Wasn't a good time for my bad draw to show up when playing this course, but I was having a blast while playing this baby even tough I played terrible. That was with clam winds, very dry, difficult pins, and heavy ruff. At least going in bad areas was just a good excuse to check out all the killer eye candy on this course. The greens where a good challenge, and if ya didn't put in the right area, you could three put real quick. That one par 5 that is rated the hardest hole is a tuff one, and you need two unbieveble shots to even think about having a chance at birdie. Eagle wasn't even in quesion for me on that hole, and I think both my players got bogey on it.

Homeboy,
You got a serious gift with making these courses, and I can't wait to play the ones I haven't played yet. Who needs EA when we get these knd of courses, and I don't think I've played a stock course since I started downloading off here.
The plantings, grrens, buildings(love the dock with the sailboat), and stuff like the creeks just made this course that much better. 5/5 from me on this gem.

Very nice rendition Roger, you have captured the feel quite nicely. Apart from a few anomalies such as the yellow flowers which I think should be gorse from my memories of playing there in '87 (ie: the yellow plants that cover St. Andy's) and a huge bush of Aezaleas close to the 8th green, I would say this is a great effort. Just one other observation, from my recollection, there are no true bunker lips on the course, certainly not dirt ones, either the sand crawls up to meet the grass or the grass is cut right at the flat point meeting the sand, but that is just a minor detail.

Jimi's work on the structures is very good also, really very acurate so well done.

Loch Lomond is a very private club, not even the locals get to play there and I was fortunate to have been invited by a member in 1987...I enjoyed it emmensley and can now play on it again, via my PC. Thanks Roger.

Apparently someone awarded this course less than 5 stars. That just isn't fair, lol. This course is a true masterpiece, from the flawless layout to the unbelievable attention to detail that went into the textures and the vegetation. I am very happy that I have been able to contribute a little bit to this wonderful course. It may be the best I have seen so far.
