Hi,
I made a 3D structure (;simple textured box) in Blender3D, then exported it out as an .X file using the DirectX exporter(;built-in). Loaded that and the 512x512x tga texture and 128x128 tga icon photo into LC.
All worked great. No errors. Loaded fine.
But when I click on Create Library and its creating it, it crashes?
Im using the 2002 Library Creator from here- http://ea.easports.com/platforms/games/tigerwoods2002/downloads.jsp And using Vista btw.
Any ideas why its crashing or help? |

I am not a library creator specialist, but i found this post, maybe it will help:
You will need LC2002. It'll work fine with the 2002 game demo. All here: http://www.easports.com/platforms/games/tigerwoods2002/downloads.jsp You will get some error messages and the program will crash after compiling a lib, but that is normal for this configuration. One thing you have to be aware of is that you have to tweak the texture settings. In your library open the textures tab, right-click on a texture and select "edit". In the window that opens next, click "render properties". A new window will pop up where you have to check "Clamp U(for skirts)" and uncheck "structure". If you don't, the CA will treat the texture as a terrain texture and your structure will show up all black.
Note: you will find the full topic here: http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=6641&forum=14 |

I need help! Keeps crashing, no output.
I am using the 2002 LC from here- http://ea.easports.com/platforms/games/tigerwoods2002/downloads.jsp It doesn't have those options when you right click on the texture.
I clicked info on the LC from the 2002 game and it says- Pga championship golf library creator 1.1
What 2002 Library Creator are you using???
I attached two photos showing the different menus, labeled. Ones the 2002 LC from the disc, and the other 2002 LC is the one you download from the site. |

Neither one of those is the 2002 LC that any of us use that I know of. This is what it should look like. Also, I am not sure if you can use an x-file. As far as I know, it needs to be a lightwave obj

Is there a reason you are wanting to use the 2002 LC instead of the 2006 LC? |

Library creator uses .obj file format and not .x format.Probably the reason why the LC crashes. |

The 2002 Library creator has better lighting/shadow output, and some say it's the only one that really works for 3D objects. I don't have the right one according to the photos. |

It has the ability to not have it rendered as a 3D structure, which is what helps eliminate the shadows. It also has some other drawbacks as the ball will pass right through them. The LC06 works fine for surface structures but you need to light it properly in 3DS Max to have it look correct. Attached is the LC I use when using the 2002 one. |

Thanks! ??? Could someone upload/send me an actual obj file and it's textures so I can compare it to mine? I'm guessing that's where the problem is because it still won't work. I'll compare the output text. Thanks!!! |

Here are the errors Im getting in the attached photo upon Create Library, The photos are attached- I get the current object-unknown like every time. If someone could send me an obj and the textures files that worked for them for one object that would be great! Thanks for the continued help everyone! |

I figured out mostly the difference in how TW imports obj files, and can import the obj with a texture. The problem is the texture is distorted on the object. It's not keeping it's uv mapped coordinates from the program. ?? Any help there? |

Here is the file I made. I included the original files plus the blender file. If you import that obj into your app you see the texture looks good. Inside the folder there is another folder with an edited script to make it work in Library Creator which I made.
When I use it the texture is skewed on the object in Course Architect and the TW Game.
?? Help? Thanks! |

after the texture is added, and you modify with UVW mapping, are you clicking on which type of structure it is, for example Box, if not it may look ok in gmax but will be distorted in the game, then collapse all to commit the texture to the structure |
