I wish a course developer would update this course for 2008. The course exists in the 2006 files, but when I tried to install it in the 2008 Tiger Woods I got an error message that stopped the installation.

Ahh an old buddy of mine did that course. Gatorbucx. He would be the only one able to update that version.
Unfortunately I haven't seen him around in a while..:(

Now thats another course I have not seen for a few years...Blackwolf Run. That was done by Smak2000. I have not seen any courses from him in awhile.

Maybe someone could tell me why the 2006 course does not load into 2008. I have successfully done other courses from other years using the TWCaddie.

There is no reason that the 06 course shouldn't install using the Caddie. Are you getting an error when you try to install it? Now there is no guarantee that the course will play without crashing. I know courses prior to 06 crash in 08 due to game engine changes that have been made over the years. I thought most 06 courses play in 08, although there are lighting changes that were made between 06 and 08, so the textures may look very bright.

Alroy, out of curiosity I have just tried to load this course and got the same result as you, TW caddie takes exception to this course. Some of the older courses will not work in 2008. That is why I got cheap second-hand copies from Ebay and Amazon of all the TW games 2004 thru to 2008. If you don't mind playing in the older versions then you can play all the old classic designs. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I don't think there is any other way round this problem.

I know what the problem is. I took a look at the course TCR file in a hex editor and noticed that the course name contains quotation marks in the name. This is what is causing the problem. TW Caddie creates a folder for each course based on the name of the course. Since Windows folders cannot contain quotation marks, this is causing the problem.

Send me a PM with your email address and I can help you with this.

Great piece of detective work JS. Alroy you will also need the libraries as the attached list. The first one should read Black Diamond tex. I have just played it in 2006, holes 13 to 17 around the quarry would be really good if re-done for 2008.

Indeed, from the pics I saw here on this site, wickedly - excellent terrain work done. Would be great to see a remake for 08.
