Miss hit button... (bit awkward is it not?) |
|
Hi all, Ive just installed TW06 and CA06 to my VIsta system. (;Thanx Bobby and nuttywoody, for your input: http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=7835&forum=11)
But, when trying to run CA06 I get a dialogue box opened that says I have to be logged on as administrator (;which I am) and just an ok-button.
Anyone know a workaround? |

Hi... You can try this: Go to the bin folder of CA06: C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Course Architect 06\Bin Inside bin folder you will find: architect.exe (application )
Right Click on that file and select Properties. With properties Open select the tab labeled Compatibility In the Compatibility screen you will see a option near the bottom that says: Run This Program as Administrator
Check the box and click Apply and then OK.

Hi there nuttywoody, Actually, no. CA runs nice now, without a VM. I guess I will run into trouble when compiling and want to try the course in TW08 as TW06 refuses to run. But that is a problem many hours of work from now ;-) As a beginner to course design I am not very aware of more problems, but handling libraries would be an area I think will give me some headache. Thanx for your support! |

You said you machine barely runs Vista, and you were afriad it would not run a virtual machine. It might be worth trying - Virtual PC only needs 512MB of RAM to run. Vista needs 1GB. If you had as little as 1.5GB of RAM you would be fine. (good excuse for a memory upgrade!) |
