I read from time to time how people are looking to get DEMs for a course, but not understanding how to use the latitude and longitude coordinates. Especially from places such as south of the equator or in the eastern hemisphere. I put together a very brief tutorial on my site which shows an easy way to get the data for any area without the hassles of understanding the North, South, East or West parts of the coordinates.
