1. On link below you can download splash + logo template for TW08:

2. Creating Splash (.TGA )

some very good help on link below, it is tutorial for TW07 splash, but works also for TW08 splash:
(splash template a bit different for TW08 )
Click link below:

3.Creating Logo (.dds )

For creating the logo with photoshop, it is possible you will have to download the dds plugin.
You can download and install dds plugin for photoshop on link below:

On link below you will find instructions how to create dds file.
it is tutorial for creating flag, but it is same for creating logo.
Only difference is you will have to use the logo template and not the flag template.
click link below:

Very important:
Logo must be named exactly:
logo.dds
Flag must be named exactly:
flag.dds

4. uploading and testing.
There are three options:

A. TCR (the easy way )
When you finished splash + logo:
put logo + splash + text file +compiled course file ( tcr) in 1 folder
you can also add flag (.dds )in folder ( optional )
zip the folder and now you will have zip file with:

logo.dds
splash.tga
text.txt
course.tcr

B. TCX: with compiled course(.tcr)+logo+splash+text compressed in 1 file ( .tcx )
No need to add logo + splash +text separate, because they are already in compressed TCX file.
add the TCX file in folder and zip the folder:
So you will have in zip file:
course.tcx

C.TCX file without logo+splash+text added in TCX file

When you compressed the compiled course(.tcr) to TCX file, but logo + splash + text are not included in TCX :
You will have to add logo + splash + text separate in zip file.
add the TCX file +logo +splash +text in folder, and zip the folder
so you will have in zip file:
Course.tcx
logo.dds
splash.tga
text.txt

Note:When you don t know how to compress the tcr file to tcx, go for option: A
To add text file: Copy one of the text files of TW08 stock course, open the text file with notepad, edit the text and save the file.
When you created zip file ( with option A B or C )...you can install new course in TW08 game with installation tool: TW Caddie 08
When it is working, you can upload the zip file to Coursedownloads

Hi...

Yes the link is broken because the site(; Smilinggoats) was closed.
But Jeff Jarvis wrote a very good tutorial.
I will attach this tutorial (;zip file),logo+splash templates are inside and instructions included in PDF format.
Note: Now you can also find this tutorial in section: Utilities
TW08 section......Course design tools
