Course Architect Comments

Situated in the heart of England in Leicestershire near Melton Mowbray and Rutland Water, Stapleford Park golf course is remarkably free from intrusion, being designed by the renowned architect Donald Steel and boasts ever-changing views of the House, its lakes and 500-acre park.
The course wraps around the heart of the estate in two extended loops, never being more than two holes wide, making golf here reminiscent of the great links courses.
Beware of the numerous streams and the meandering River Eye not to mention the well placed bunkers, all of which are there to capture mis-placed golf balls.
The course which measures 6979 yards with a par 73 has twice hosted European Senior tour events and can truly be referred to as a championship course.
