Should I say Bobby Bolin's design or, Bobby's Best design ? No matter what the BB initials stand for, this par 70 course is simply awesome, from the 1st tee to the 18th green, and a real masterpiece !
If variety is a spice of life, then you are going to have a... ball on this course ! It has almost everything you can ask for : great elevation work, short and long holes, tough and beautifully-designed bunkers, not to mention blind tee shots, doglegs, all surrounded by a very nice Los Angeles skyline...
Bobby even went out of his way to include the Playboy mansion ! Unfortunately, all the bunnies were gone when I reached the 13th green (better luck next time...).
There are so many gorgeous holes that detailing each one of them would take too long. Let me just mention the 4-hole stretch (6, 7, 8, 9) on the front 9 : on the short par-4 6th (307 yards), you can reach the steep downhill green from the tee (with a little luck), whereas the straightforward par-3 7th is almost as long (304 yards !). After a nice dogleg to the right par-5 8th hole, the par-3 9th is spectacular with its tee shot flying from one hill to the other (and its nice bridge on the right side).
The back 9 is less scenic and more wide open, alternating short and long holes, such as the downhill par-3 11th (266 yards to the green), the long par-5 14th (more than 620 yards with an uphill green) and the par-3 15th... 143 yards (!).
Come to think of it, there is one thing missing on this course : water ! Maybe there is some on the South course, who knows ? In the meantime, thank you so much, Bobby, for this gorgeous course that we had a chance to play before the pros !

Love at first sight for this course - what a gem! The front 9 is awesome.. the par 4's at 2 and 5 - real thugs that will have you begging for par.. and then that 8th, a par 5 that drips character in every yard. The back is prob less remarkable, though none less impressive, but the whole layout is a ripper. Needless to say, a masterpiece design, BB again, this is as good as it gets. Cheers!

Outstanding course... great job of elevation, like the textures, like your bunker work and all the details. Greens play fair and my favorite holes were 16 & 17. Easy to tell all the effort and time it took to make this course, this is a keeper, thanks

Overall a very good course. My only beef is just a personal preference and other than that I will play this course and see if I can master the challenging holes. Thanks for all the designs and work you do and have done.

Just played a round, one word FANTASTIC! You can see a lot of work went into designing this one and it shows. Extremely realistic. Thanks for sharing Bobby, hopefully it gets the attention it deserves.
