@PCDurum : thank you for your kind words ! By writing those "novel" comments, I try, in a very modest way, to show my appreciation to all the talented designers who spend countless hours and weeks, creating real or fantasy courses for all of us to enjoy.
As you know, "if a picture is worth a thousand words", sometimes there are none and that's why I go into more details to give potential players a chance to decide if they want to download a course, even though all our comments are always subjective...
So, I will continue my reviews and travel all over the world, enjoying all your courses, thanks to you and all your fellow designers !

P.S. After reading again my comments below, I just realize that they were posted when I was playing with TW07. So, now that I am playing with TW08, I will play that course again, one of these days, to see if there are any major differences...

A classic remake and well-designed course by the CGX team which, strangely, has a 2007 look which, on my PC and playing with the TW07 edition, looks very nice !
The fairway and green textures, the trees and the colors of their leaves, the water, all have that look even though this course was released in... 2013 !
Nevertheless, no matter what version you will be playing, this par 72 is very pretty and quite tough, at times, with very narrow fairways and, maybe, the best overall par-3 holes on a single course.
Right from the start, you know you will have your hands full as the gorgeous par-3 2nd hole will test your accuracy with your tee shot flying over a big lake to, hopefully, land on the tiny green. The par-5 5th hole, with its slightly downhill tee shot may offer you a chance to get an eagle, provided your approach shot is long enough to reach the slightly elevated green, unlike on the dogleg to the right par-5 7th, where its length might just reward you with a birdie opportunity.
Of the four par-3 holes on this course, the 8th hole is the only one where water is not present : instead, you will face a narrow tree-lined fairway.
After a few dogleg holes on the back 9, comes the other very scenic and tough par-3 13th hole with, once again, a big lake between the tee box and the tiny green. (By the way, be sure to admire, if you have time, the two little bridges on the left side, only separated by a couple of yards...
The par-5 14th hole is quite spectacular with a big tee shot over the lake and because of its length (more than 600 yards). Then, after the nice dogleg to the left par-4 15th hole, with its uphill green, comes the last and gorgeous par-3 17th hole, this time with a downhill tee shot overlooking the lake ! The final par-4 18th hole is not overly difficult despite its slightly uphill green, but the view of the... enormous US flag behind the green, in sharp contrast wit the other 3 flags around, might startle you a little bit !
Overall, this course is very nice and you can't go wrong, no matter what version you decide to play, as Medinah is a definite keeper...

Well PC i play for different reasons. I play for the social part of the game and all my great worldwide friends on WCGR Teamspeak. The golf is secondary and we have our own tour choosing from hundreds of courses we all have plus we 3 or 4 of the best designers in the game. I love the game as well obviously i have been playing it for 9 years but i surround myself with quality people. Happy New Year.

I choose to play and employ most of my design time at CGX because I enjoy playing the tours on very good renditions of each weekly US & World Tour (European Tour)course's.
I know of no other site anywhere where that is possible? I am european and tho I really enjoy playing the more popular US courses and events CGX and Jim in particular has given us a place to run a decent World tour along with a good & accurate US Tour and tbh I just really luv the game and CGX is the place I have settled.
I just wish we could all enjoy things for what they are without becoming alienated to one and other. I'm as guilty as anyone in the TW08 golf community sometimes but mostly it's only because I'm passionate about it as are we all I suppose! Cheers Mike C:
Thanks for the positive comments everyone.

PC i have never ever was critical of you or the other designers on your talents so lets get that straight. I also had no issues with a lot of the CGX members i am friends with alot of them. Its some of the other people and we all know who were talking about here so its no secret. I dont understand why you associate your self with the site but i respect your right to do whatever you want just like i will do whatever i want. We just played your other new release and it is superb. I am a professional landscaper and have designed landscapes for homes for close to 30 years so even though the talents are different they are also very alike so i respect your talent. Happy New Year.

This is how a course is supposed to be built, gr8 attention to detail, loved the textures and even with all the trees, I was surprised that this coures played as smooth as a baby's behind...
I tip my hat to CGX for this one and thanks for sharing with us...

Very good course, neat and tidy with a nuance of due prestige. Dropped a couple of shots hitting the ball well past the hole. Gotta be your best course ever. Five stars from me.
